Ancient travelers awed at the sea-like fields of Anatolian vineyards. Today, Turkey is home to some 1200 different grape varieties. Researchers continue to pursue those grapes; searching, analyzing, cataloguing. Only 35 varieties, however, are used in the country’s wine production. We thought we should celebrate those 35.
For sometime the talented Quirky Cork has been gathering information on these grapes and let me tag along for the ride. with the help of an equally talented designer we have been putting together some infographics to better understand each variety.
